TTM Squeeze Pro upgrades the original squeeze with grades: by testing Bollinger width against several Keltner multipliers, it distinguishes a mild volatility dip from an extreme compression. Not all squeezes are equal — the tightest coils tend to produce the biggest releases.
How It Works
- Bollinger Bands are compared against wide, mid, and narrow Keltner Channels.
- Compression depth classifies the squeeze: low, mid, or high intensity.
- The same momentum histogram directs the eventual release trade.
How to Trade It
Use the grade to allocate attention and size: high-compression squeezes justify larger positions or wider targets, low-grade ones smaller expectations. Scanning a basket for high-grade squeezes is an efficient way to queue the day's best breakout candidates.
Building It in Setup.Cash
Add TTM Squeeze Pro in the strategy builder — the length input controls its sensitivity — and use its value in any entry, exit, or filter condition. You can also combine it with other tools in the Indicators Lab or via the AI indicator generator. Start with the original TTM Squeeze mechanics. For the full category overview, see the volatility & statistics library guide.
Volatility indicators qualify trades rather than generate them — backtest your system with and without this filter and compare the drawdowns.
